Simon Das
A father of two young boys and husband to Liz Simon became an accidental landlord when his mother passed away in 2009. Simon spent a couple of years gradually refurbishing the two up two down in Yorkshire before putting it on the rental market. In 2011 Simon and his now wife started to search for a property in the Northwest which had potential to refurbish, add value and rent out. The plan was to live in the property during the refurb and then let it and move on to the next project. Having scoured the market from Carlisle to Lancaster and Morecambe they decided Morecambe was the area which worked for them. Low entry prices, higher than average yields and masses of potential for growth and regeneration. They ended up residing in the property for a decade and building a small portfolio in the area.
Since 2011 Simon has founded and grown 978 Group, a community minded property services and investment company. 978 Group finds, finances and manages UK assets for a network of local, national and international investors. Primarily focussing on property investments in the Morecambe and Lancaster area the group provides a comprehensive solution for its investors and clients whilst building cash flow and creating opportunity for Simon to grow his own property portfolio. The group sources property, project manages refurbishments, secures bridging, development and commercial term debt, and manages tenants and properties ongoing.
Simon joins the boardroom club having spent a decade building the foundations and learning the craft with some success but now needs to systemise, delegate and get back to what he is good at, creating opportunity and closing deals rather than day to day management of people and administration which often distracts from high value tasks and money making. With recent announcement of Eden Project North coming to Morecambe the next decade of growth in the area must be capitalised upon, Simon and 978 Group aim to make the most of this unique opportunity’

Outside of her professional life, Abi is passionate about giving back to the community and is actively involved in coaching teenagers. Her commitment to fostering growth and development in young people mirrors her professional ethos, making her a valued leader and mentor both within and outside the workplace.
